October Sermon Series: Culture of Call

Join us for the October Sermon Series:

This October, we’ll explore what it means to live in a Culture of Call—a community where we listen for God’s call, recognize the gifts God has given each of us, and encourage one another to use those gifts in the world. Through stories from Scripture and the experiences of people today, we’ll consider how God calls ordinary people, how we respond, and how the church can help nurture the callings of others.

This series will also connect with Miracle Sunday on October 11, a special offering of The United Methodist Church that supports theological education and helps equip future pastors and church leaders around the world. We’ll hear stories from people who have answered God’s call to ministry and learn how our gifts can help provide them with the education and preparation they need to serve their communities.

Miracle Sunday gives us an opportunity to remember that the call of God extends far beyond our own congregation.

When we support those who are preparing for ministry, we become part of their calling. Our generosity helps make it possible for others to say, “Here I am. Send me.”

Join us throughout October as we listen for God’s call, celebrate the people who have encouraged us along the way, and consider how we can help create a culture where everyone has the opportunity to discover and live into their calling.

Trunk or Treat 2026

Join us for a spooky good time!

For our 6th annual Trunk or Treat, October 25 ^th at 2-4 pm, we need people to hand out candy. If you're not able to hand out candy, we would appreciate it if you would donate a bag of candy. Please place your donation on the cart in the narthex. Also, please be sure that Amanda knows if you would like to provide a "trunk" (vehicle) for the event.

Giving to Northview - How can I give?

Northview welcomes you to support the ministries of the church with your giving. Northview is prepared for all to give in any fashion that suits their needs.

Feel free to use the envelopes provided if that is your desire. These can be put into the offering plates or mailed to the church. Many of you have financial institutions that handle mailing of your gifts.

assist you.

Sunday School Info

on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. for adults.

The children's Sunday School classes have resumed for the Fall and Winter.

Our Family Welcomes You!

The congregation of Northview United Methodist Church welcomes you to our church family. We would love for you to visit with us and/or join our family. Our church is 160 years old in 2025.

We are extremely proud to have completed many physical improvements to our property – inside and outside. Due to COVID, the church building was mostly shuttered and the preschool had been closed for the 2020-2021 school year. The perfect opportunity presented itself for us to complete major renovations with minimal disruption. The preschool teachers, children and parents LOVE their new spaces. So does the rest of the congregation.

We are hoping to rebuild our children’s programs on Sunday mornings. With our current small Sunday School Classes, your children will receive special attention in an environment that is conducive to Christian education. A nursery is also provided for the wee ones.

Are you interested in community service? We offer several avenues for you to fulfill this dream. Adult Sunday School Classes are also available. We have a young music director and a young accompanist that are quite talented. We are a congregation, but we are family.

So, please give us a try if you are looking for a church family home.
