Ongoing Stewardship Opportunities |
|
Any
Stewardship Commitee Member (Helen Watson, Tammy Baker, Fran McDaniel,
Don Stafford, Sue Porterfield or Lew Wertz) will gladly provide you with
Sunnybrook AutoSPA car wash tickets ($10.99) or Kroger Gift
Cards ($5). Adopt a Day
The Stewardship Committee has created an "Adopt A Day"
program. They
have posted a calendar on the bulletin board beside the office for
"adopting a day" by increasing your giving by $60.00 for that week. You
can do this in memory of, in honor of, or just because of. The
additional donations should be marked separately on your weekly
envelopes so the funds will be properly credited to the building fund.

Money Management
Seminar
OCTOBER 1, 2008 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Money Management Individuals will learn how to
manage money, set goals, select the best budgeting style and
create a budget that works.
“Setting financial goals and deciding where we
spend our money are the least important steps in managing our
money”.
FALSE
Actually
these are the first two steps in the process. To begin managing
money, you must first know exactly where you are financially.
Taking an honest look at where the money is going gives you a
chance to make appropriate financial goals. Without financial
goals, there’s no reason not to spend every penny you make. |

PAYMENTS
REQUESTS/REIMBURSEMENTS:
Please be reminded that checks are written
every Tuesday (exceptions: vacation and illness) morning by
7:00 a.m. Therefore requests for checks are to be in the church
office no later than 10:00 a.m. on Mondays. Please NO
EXCEPTIONS. Be considerate with your requests. The process is
a time consuming matter which also requires two signatures. It
is inconvenient and costly to request signatories to make two
trips to the office and not always available. Your cooperation
is most appreciated.

TRASH - All trash is to be
placed in the dumpster after any function held in the Family
Life Center and/or the Church. Your group is held responsible to
make sure all barrels have liners
prior to trash being placed in them and once the function
is over the trash is to be hauled to the dumpster and NOT placed
in the trash can outside the kitchen door of the Fellowship
Hall. This trash can has been placed there to aid you in
getting the trash to the dumpster if you can not haul it in a
vehicle on your way out. Other than books and broken down
boxes, all trash placed in the dumpster **must** be placed
in plastic bags as set out in “Waste Management” contract.
Failure to do so will result in losing our right to the
dumpster. The Property Committee will be monitoring to
make sure we are in compliance with Waste Management as well as
Northview Regulations |

Services of Healing
Pastor Bart will establish the Church's healing ministry
as an essential part of Northview's Sunday morning
worship beginning in March. The third Sunday of
each month will be designated as a time of prayer
for those persons who seek healing prayers for physical,
spiritual, emotional or relationships. Our healing
services are sensitive and caring moments when people
are invited to prayer at the alter. Pastor Bart
will listen and lift up prayer in your behalf to the
Great Physician of Souls. The third Sundays will
be a great time to invite others to come and share their
concerns.

Social Club News
On Sunday October 12, 2008, Northview’s
Social Club will hold its annual Trunk or Treat activity at 1:00
in the church parking lot for our Hollins Manor members. The
residents love dressing up in costumes, decorating a goodie bag,
and then walking from car to car with bag in tow.
This is where the Social Club
needs Northview’s help! If you would like to actively join in
on the fun, you may sponsor a “trunk”. Some sponsors go “all
out” and decorate their cars and wear costumes. A box will be
placed in the narthex for those who would like to donate
“treats”. Members love candy (sugar-free), diet sodas, fruit,
crackers, socks, gloves, note pads, toiletries, gum. We are
also in need of used costumes including masks, funny hair, bow
ties.
If you have any questions
or would like to volunteer for this fun event, please notify a
Social Club volunteer. Thank you Northview for your continued
support of this ministry. We DO make a difference in
their lives and have witnessed many positive changes since we
initiated this program. The smiles are contagious! Social
