Purpose of United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is:
- To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ

- To know God
- To develop a creative and supportive fellowship
- To expand concepts of mission
Each foci relates to the mission initiatives and priorities of United Methodist Women and the Women’s Division

"Knit for Kids"

Northview United Methodist Women participate in the “Knit for Kids” project. This is a project for World Vision, which sends sweaters crochet or knit to children in need all over the world. Their global distribution center in Pennsylvania - where we sent the sweaters- serves as hub for sending sweaters to children as far away as Armenia, Nicaragua, Swaziland and Tanzania, and as close to home as Appalachia, New Orleans and the Bronx. If you would like a pattern for either crochet or knit you can download them from the World Vision Website. www.worldvision.org/
